IT Network Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION: IT & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Role summary:

This role will include assisting with 1st line support, as well as being a point of contact for bringing more complex issues to the attention of the IT manager; monitoring, maintaining and ensuring optimal running of the current network and systems; suggesting, researching and testing new technologies and systems for Company suitability.

Key Activities:

• Responsibility for monitoring and maintaining servers (Windows Server 2016), network infrastructure and business systems (Exchange, backup, security as well as other software).
• Responsibility for troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving IT faults across the business.
• Responsibility for monitoring, maintaining and solving issues with cloud-based VOIP system.
• Provision of day to day IT support for a network of around 80 Windows 10 machines, including hardware and software issues, printer issues and basic user training.
• Documenting company systems, software and policies.
• Setup and basic troubleshooting of Android and Apple mobile devices.
• Assisting the IT Manager with assessing new technologies, testing their suitability for the business and implementation, where required.
• Involvement and support in other areas of IT as required.

Team and Relationships:

• Working with team members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of services are delivered to the business.
• Creating, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments.
• Presenting information in a meaningful way that allows a diverse audience to understand departmental activities.

Increased salary negotiable depending on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,000.00 per year

Experience:

• system administration: 1 year (preferred)
