· Measuring and marking out components;

· Working from cutting lists, technical drawings and specifications;

· Producing pre-assembly work including boring holes and counter sink;

· Producing mouldings prior to assembly;

· Heavy lifting – loading and unloading stock onto the machines;

· Machine Operation – maintaining speed and organising stock;

· Quality checking finished products;

· Operating saw machines;

· Operating drill machines;

· Operating CNC centre lathe machine;

· Operating an edge bander machine.


· High attention to detail and ability to achieve high levels of accuracy;

· Good organisational and communication skills;

· Have a good all-round knowledge of high volume woodworking machinery – (specific machine training will be given);

· Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;

· Good knowledge/experience of wood machinery;

· Carpentry/ Wood Machinist experience;

· Experience in manufacturing and assembly;

· Experience working with laminates;

· Knowledge of mortices and tenon joints;

· A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with the ability to produce good quality work;

· Ability to take accurate measurements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
