In our Pre-Assembly area, we don’t just pre-build our glazed structures, we also carry out product testing.
Here, using our unique aluminium roof system, we have built a test rig to attempt destruction, whilst working to stringent testing guidelines. All this ensures the safety and durability of our roof system.
In addition to structural calculations, testing and proving the integrity of our structures is a growing requirement for some F10 projects we are involved with, and this is just one of the many areas we can confirm our overall compliance for our clients.
Project Spotlight: Letting the light in
For a recent project in Oxfordshire, we built and installed two identical curved glazed roofs measuring approx 2.1m x 3.2m, one over a gloriously garden-themed entertainment room and the other central to the kitchen and over the island unit. Lighting mounts and upstands have been treated differently in each.
Each aluminium core and cap were shaped in-house and glazed units were made in our glass department. The inside of our roofs are all clad internally with decorative timber mouldings and trims.
